Hellroaring Falls

Climbed at Hellroaring Falls in East Rosebud canyon on Saturday Jan 8th. Ice was fat and sticky with good warm inversion temps. Road is easily accessible, even after the 3 inches of snow we got during the day.

Was up playing around on Falls Between this afternoon. Surprised at how moist the ice was after the lengthy cold spell we've been encountering. One thing of note, the snow was collapsing and sluffing with ease. While on the ice I heard what I believe to be a nice avalanche up the canyon, south of the where I was. It was loud enough to make my heart rate increase with shock. DB
