Back Country Skiing Conditions.

While it's not back country skiing, I skinned up Red Lodge Tuesday and Thursday and skied in Cole Creek. Deep snow, hit very little. Last Sunday I was up on the glacier above Hellroaring Lake. It was starting to snow but not much accumulation then, don't know about now. Snow's here, game on.

While it’s not back country skiing, I skinned up Red Lodge Tuesday and Thursday and skied Cole Creek and the front side. The snow was deep and I hit almost nothing. Last Sunday I hiked up Hellroaring plateau and skied the glacier above Hellroaring Lake. It was snowing then but no real accumulation then. Don’t know about now. The snow’s here, game on.

Yep.  I went up there today as well.  there were a lot of tracks but plenty of great skiing.  no rocks.  Pretty nice for my birthday!

It was a great day Sunday the 8th up at the Great One.  Went with Ben Knoble, Sturgis, Will Ritter and TREW.
