Finley Dec 4, 09

Took the gear for a walk up finley today and didn't find much worth climbing.  Weedeater has ice but isn't close to being in.  The daggers area, mule palace, thing in between have ice but not much at all.  First pitch of graineater is almost completely dry and so are both pitches of fox corner.  The upper pitch of graineater is probably climbable, but is steep, hard, and thin.  Drive to bozeman

thanks for the heads up.  i was planning to head out there tomorrow, but you saved me the work.

next time it's on me haha.

the thing in between is now pretty fat, definetely worth climbing, but very wet and drippy today. seems like everything  else has yet to fill in their bottom sections, hasn't quite gotten all the way to the ground.

Sean and I went and scoped out Finley yesterday. I was pleasantly surprized. The Daggers look like they are coming in quite nicely with but the right side still needs some time. Thing in Between, as Coner previously stated was in good shape and very wet. I was surprised to find with the warm temps the Graineater is on its way to being in better shape than it has been for two years. The bottom of the second pitch is actually filing in. The first pitch has a spattering of ice, with some potential. Foxes corner is trying, and the Weedeater is in and was climbed yesterday by another party. It was warm, and snow was melting so hopefully we get a cold snap to finish the job.
