The season of ten - eleven.

Will it be epic?

Cold temps are the unknown. Wet summer and high water table. Could be sweet...

Last season was incredible, and I believe this year will be even better!!! I am excited to get over there earlier this season for some of the climbs that I was not able to get on last year. . .!!

One the short cliff south (lookers right) of the G1 ice Martin Z and I bolted "S'N'S"  (Short and Sweet) on the 11th of November 2010. It is a 4 bolt "Tonka Truck" type of route, previously top roped from a leaning tree thirty feet back from the lip. The route has a bouldery start and then eases back. A two bolt anchor keeps your rope from running through the moss - better for your rope and the moss. It is provisionally rated between M3 and M4.

Right of this is "Blackalicious" on similar rock. Doug Chabot and I bolted this on the 14th of November. The six bolt "Go Kart Route" follows the promionent black streak up surprisingly poistive holds. Chains at the top. Provisonal rating between M4 and M5. Pete Tapley and Alex Lussier hopped on to confirm the quality.

While the rock had been ascended on top rope, the routes are now equipped with full torque 1/2" x 4" bolts and are somewhat cleaner. The routes will relieve some of the crowding from the ice as they are great introductory routes.

Hopefully you'll try them out before passing judgement. If this gets you all worked up give me a call. The bolts are ereasable.
