On Saturday 12/11 after climbing Palisade Falls and in an effort to avoid the growing crowd, my friend Tyson and I decided to try our hand at the mixed (rock and snow) gully to the right of the falls. Does anyone know if this gully have a name? It's not technically demanding but was fun for us since we are new to dry tooling.
Also, if anyone finds a Black Diamond express ice screw (16cm, blue knob) please let me know. It's somewhere in the Palisade Falls area or by the rock gully. Thanks, I'd really appreciate your help finding this. It was getting dark when we started packing up and our searchwas futile.
PS. Palisade was fat but wet in the middle and on over to the right. Left side was dry and covered with fun mushrooms, even a neat little chimney near half way. Couldn't drive the truck much farther than the East Fork sign so we decided to ski it.
