Well it is winter in Hyalite! Sam and I hoped to check out Killar Pillar but the road looked nasty...Feeling lazy, I thought we would easily make it to the Main TH but even that proved difficult. My Subie failed me about 1 mile from there due to all the fresh snow! Half way through the grueling road hike, we were luckily able to hop on the bumper of some climbers with a more suitable vehicle. 6-8 vehicles passed through after we couldn't make it and the road is now OK past the reservior and it got plowed up to the reservoir at some point this afternoon.
We climbed Thrill is Gone...great condition and, as always, great fun. We also got on the Fat One which was nice.
Good Looking One is really close to being in! But a ways from being a pure ice climb. Jeff's Left looked pretty good and Fatty Access Ice was not quite in, but close. Snowing too much to see across the canyon but I am guessing similar to last week for most stuff.
