Avalanche Conditions

Skiers triggered a slide up Hyalite drainage from low angled terrain yesterday (Friday, Nov 18).  Weak, faceted snow near the ground is the culprit.  i expect the high elevation gullies to also have unstable snow.  Additionally these exposed couloirs will also have wind slabs.  Be careful out there.  I do not expect natural activity, unless the wind picks up, but human/climber triggered slides are a real possibility. Be safe!

Does low-angle typically refer to sub-25 degrees when you use that term, Doug?
