Thrill is Gone & Good Looking One

Climbed Thrill is Gone and Good Looking One yesterday.  Thrill is Gone is in great condition. On Good Looking One the ice has melted back pretty high. We were able to get to it on the left after maybe 20+ feet of fun dry tooling. Looked like there were several significantly harder and longer dry tool options to the right. The ice was good once we got to it. However, leading the left side of the upper curtain it sounded a bit hollow at the bottom, and at about two-thirds of the way up I encountered a horizontal crack running all the way across the piece of ice I was climbing - not sure how far right the crack extends. All the ice seemed very dry, so doesn't look like this climb is going to be getting fatter any time soon.

last friday my buddy pulled off a decent (torso sized) block on the mixed section on good looking one maybe 6 feet below the ice on the right. took a 15 footer onto a blue alien. thankfully the rock just smashed up his helmet and flipped him as he fell, not a scratch on him but a big crack in his helmet. I was belaying to the side and the rock missed me completely.

watch out for loose rock in hyalite, getting hurt is no good. BTW the route is still awesome.
