I've seen some photos of East Rosebud Lake the last couple of days and it looks like Ice Dragons and Magic Pants are in stellar conditions for anyone looking for some late season alpine ice and mixed climbing. Enjoy

Great write up JoJo.  I have tried to get in an do this twice, but both times the going was much slower than what you described to our lack of conditoning but more likely 6-12 inches of snow on the ground.  Took the gear for a long walk both times and never got  it out of the pack.  I need to get back and do this one though.
