G1 current conditions

Jeff and I bumped into Conrad and Tim on G1 on Monday. This is what she looked like. When we left it was a shower curtain of 'drips' so I'm sure she grew quite a bit this week. Upper and lower greensleeves did not appear to be in but the hangover and G2 were looking pretty good. The black magic area and the unamed wall were still all rock from what I could see.

I climbed for the first and only time in Hyalite last November around the 8-12.  At that time G1 and Twin Falls were pretty good!  My questions is, is this a slow year or did 2011 come in particularly early?

Checked out the Amp. yesterday. Fat chance and Slim chance are climable as well as Swithback falls. I was able to get one 10cm screw in Swithback for a directional but its still a TR or solo route. I attached pics of the ampitheater climbs as well as a glimpse of Winter Dance, The Twins, and Cleo. Let me know if these photos really are attaching/viewable please.

sorry for the poor photos, they have to be resized to upload and it keeps cutting off the 'ice' portion of the photos

This year, Hyalite started coming in early well before Halloween as it often does and very similarly to 2011. However we then had a week to 10 days of unusually warm weather and most everything fell down. So we are about month behind on some routes. Other routes may have benefited from the pattern including Winter Dance, Zach Attack and perhaps others. Happy hunting.

G1 is growing; center column should touchdown soon. Lower greensleeves has ice but is not protectable. I heard a similar report for Upper Greensleeves. I was able to get 3 of my shortest screws in the Hangover. Looking acorss the valley, the Fat One might be climable?
