Dribbles of this and that!

Had an amazing day today with Rusty Willis! We climbed Silken Falls (which was in good but slightly thin conditions) and headed up the gully to do The Climb Above the Dribbles. As we were heading up the drainage I was remembering a post from JoJo a few years back where Guy suggested renaming The Climb Above to Alex in Wonderland! Having spent a good number of days doing different routes around Alex in Wonderland I would agree that it is quite the special place and would like to second Guy and JoJo's idea of renaming it! Thoughts?

Now back to conditions: Alex in Wonderland was absolutely amazing. Rusty had an awesome lead on the first pitch, which had very little ice and was mostly slabby rock with some pretty big runouts! Truly an adventurous pitch. I lead the next pitch and found wonderful conditions and gladly clipped the bolt before transferring onto the dagger. There was some crappy ice once you worked around to the front of the dagger, but all said, it is amazing right now and quite pumpy! Also, the snow is pretty minimal with about 3 new inches falling today while we were up there, but made for pretty easy and very safe travel up the gulley.

Dribbles looked great, and Rusty said he climbed it on Friday and found great conditions!

Although things down low (G1 and Unnamed wall) aren't very fat right now things up high are shaping up nicely!

Happy hunting and hope things continue to be phenomenal!

To a Wonderul Outing...Cheers,

Kevin
