Blodget Falls

Went up Blodget canyon on Thurs (12-8-05) Swan Slabs and the unamed slabs look to be in, but mostly snow covered. Blodgett Falls is forming up very nicely, one could say fat even. First 60 feet or so apprx. 85-90 degrees, rest moderatley angled. Be sure to get up the ice before the sun peeks over the canyon, starts to drip somethin' fierce. Also left a 17 cm Omega Pacific screw apprx. 30' up from start, if anyone heads up there and wants to get it back to me call 544-4580 (Kent) if not . . . looks like you scored a screw. adios

Hit the slabs on Sat. 12-17, the ice was a little brittle on the bottom but not bad. There are at least three climbs in and not too much snow on route. Middle section was ugly at the top of the first pitch but the top 20 ft. of the second pitch was the best ice on the route, although low angle. Blodget Falls looked awesome...
