Sleeping Giant

Climbed sleeping giant today in rather exciting conditions. Top is pretty thin - no places for pro on the upper half - quite a bit of rotten ice throughout. We pretty much did a figure 8 trying to find the bloody climb, so don't follow our tracks. The name is half right - the climb was sleeping, however it is not a giant. Off belay....

Climbed Sleeping Giant on 12/16 Wed. Not too bad, a bit thin and wet, reasonable gear. Fairly far up to a fairly short climb, but sporty, interesting climb, and probably worth it. Seems best to get in the gully which leads to it and follow that all the way up rather than meandering in the timber and maybe getting lost. Definitely more toward 45 mins than 20 for the approach.
