We played on Hellroaring Falls last Wednesday (12-1-04). For coming from billings, it's an easy day out. Still early season conditions, but forming well at 3+ up the main flow. The left corner is starting out well with this year with nice column flowing over the roof. Pretty much a solo to the halfway point, then gear gets better. It's going at solid 4 right now, will thicken nicely with cooler temps. The trail up to the falls has been cleared of deadfall, making the approach cush. Thanks to whoever did all the chopping. Sand Dune is beginning to form. With the latest warming trend, and only a week and a half of cold, I'm betting it hasn't touched down yet. It soon will. Small Falls is still reaching for the ground. Fire Killer may begin to form soon. Colder temps and more snow is expected this weekend, so there should be enough moisture to feed it. We published shots and updates of the Beartooth Climbing at: http://www.geocities.com/beartoothclimbing/ Leave us feedback if you hit the Beartooth/Absoraka area. We'd appreciate it. :D
