access this winter

Thats a great question Tobias. From what I have heard, they are in the final stages of developing the Travel Plan, printing it, etc. It should be release shortly after the elections (probably a good idea on the FS part). I have tried to find out how good or bad it is for climbing access, but haven't been able to get any details. I do know that there was a concerted decision on their part to provide good access for winter climbing up there. And I know that they understood the fine points of what would or wouldn't work for us (eg- a gate across the road at Langhor starting Dec. 15th wouldn't frickin' work for us.) Like I said, I don't know the details, but I sure hope they involve no gates, and hopefully a little plowing. Jim
