Ice and road conditions

Hyalite Enthusiasts,

You'd best get your last licks in before the annual closure of the Hyalite road on April 1. No, this is not a preemptive April Fools joke. This is a mandatory closure that will occur each year during Spring break-up. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

The road was fine to Grotto on Friday for 4wd. Couple of Subarus in the lot, though we had to pull out a Suzuki jeep near the Palisade road.

Elevator Shaft is in good shape. A big chunk of The Thrill is Gone seems poorly adhered in the middle section.

A good path is beaten in. Two lanes, in some spots!

the road is plowed to grotto and 2wd accessable. the routes are hanging tough, some huge, some a touch sun-baked.
