no ice, just flakes.

Ok, I need to vent this... Once again I'm a victim of the Flakey Virus that seems to plague so many montana climbers. Of the 20 years of climbing around the states with so many different people, I've NEVER experienced a flakey climber until I moved here. It seems that the passion for climbing is out there but I have yet to experience a partner who is reliable an isn't afraid to follow through with a dream or just a simple idea. I meet climbers who say they're serious, but show no action toward it. Also, being female some guys expect a relationship. What happen to the days when we climbed strickly for the love of the mountains with no expectations other than that?! If I wanted to get a date I'd search on a different website and advertise myself as that. Ok, so I'm bitter because my male partner bailed on me today and we were going to canada for a week of ice. Something to do with another woman, I think, and the fact that all I want to do is climb when we go climbing (duh, imagine that!). I came to Montana to explore all it's beauty and that surrounding it. Is there anyone out there who wants to do the same ENOUGH to follow through with an idea or goal? I want to live the dream, not just dream. I'm off til Jan 2 and want to climb ice. Contact me if interested in CLIMBING. I'm not a grumpy person, I'm just finally irritated that this has occured so much. Amy Barwick
