Flanders

Went up to Flanders for some Christmas ice. I was able to drive my AWD -- very low clearance but have Blizzaks -- Volvo all the way to the parking lot. Much more snow and wind will make it impassable so I recommend everyone get after some East Fork and Flanders ice as soon as possible before the road gets too deep. Some other folks went all the way to the Emerald Lake parking lot in a Toyota truck but they also used chains. I'm surprised the road wasn't more beat out actually. I suppose everyone is fighting crowds on the new lift at Bridger these days. The ice up Hyalite is awesome.

Oh, we did Champagne Slot and Sherbert. Both are in great shape. Killer Pillar looked good. Bobo is trying and the pillar might be climbable but it looks thin and hard. Big Sleep is hanging there with hard M climbing to reach the ice. Whit would do it.

The other folks we ran into did Slight of Hand in the East Fork. They said it was good. Palisade looks great too.
