So now that there is a big cone in the road.... it looks like plenty of skiers etc are keeping the trail broke. Jimmy and I did our community service today and broke trail up to Alpha/Omega. The snowpack is rediculously horrible, but not overly deep, mmeh, could be worse, but all the fracturing sure keeps the attention. Omega was great, lots of good stemming up the first half. Alpha looks like a shower and the whole curtain is filling in. Palisade is also in real fine shape now too. Enjoy --

headed out to Flanders today and climbed Champagne Sherbert and slot.  Then we headed up to High Crimes and Misdemeanors!  Great day.  Pretty deep post holing the final way up to Champagne.  We skied in from the main road.  Not a bad approach on skis, but no fun to hike!  Didn't see another soul!  Amazing!

Slight of Hand is a great ski and a beautiful pitch of ice. Its fat and 4ish, the ice is pretty funky b/c of all the slush.

went up the the champagne area on saturday.  We hiked in with only about 300 meters of postholing.  the rest of the hike was easy enough.  The climbs were in great condition.
