Has anyone been on Spagetti lately?  How is the approach in the gulley?  Also updates on the climbs above the road would be much appreciated.  Mike

This route sits up high off the valley floor and gets much fluid from two main drainages from the plateau.  It fills in early and stays fat generally through to April. The biggest deal is working with the approach.  It can be long and rocky, or an ice highway to the base.  But this doesn't seem to take away from the fact which makes this classic flow always worth the effort.  The included photo is dated, but it's probably close to what the Beartooths are currently looking like.

Does anyone have an idea what this route looks like in regards to snow amounts and ice conditions towards the end of Feb.-Early March or even later season? I would like to get on it before it melts for the year and am looking for a generally good time of year to try it. Thanks for the updates!

Rusty Willis and I climbed

Rusty Willis and I climbed Cali 1/9/08 and finished on the plateau. Conditions were great, not much snow above. Watch for the moose and her calf in the approach drainage. We finished the 2nd pitch on the line to the left.
