Capitalism in Hyalite Canyon

IMO... keep capitalism out of hyalite canyon! keep capitalism out of hyalite canyon! keep capitalism out of hyalite canyon! the ice festival is a capitalist ploy disguised as an opportunity to share our love of climbing with others. the same could be said about the "other" ice festival. I'm not bashing capitalism, (maybe i should) i'm bashing the exploitation of a world class climbing venue with limited carrying capacity. i'm not bashing barrel either, local climbing shops are a priceless resorce. there's not need to intentionally recruit ice climbers, if someone has what it takes to be an ice climber, they will become one by themselves.

Hey Free will?, Im a 5th generation Montanan who attended the ice festival. Ice climbing was something that I have always wanted to pursue but never could find the resources to make it a reality until Barrel and others gave me the oppotunity. We alll get our start somewhere, and I bet someone who originated from the Ice festival will be kicking your ace up the ice someday soon with a smile on their face (thats what matters) while you sit there and think about things to complain about. Think about it. And unless your of Shoshone blood, shut up, we are all from somewhere else. Griz Man
