The three Silver Gate climbs are in pretty big, as is the Park Gate. Dancing with the Hippo is huge, but we met some guys from Missou that told of scary fracture lines that turned them around. Blue Moose is freekin' huge, and Marlboro is too. The triplet and others on Barronette are not quite touching, but the bigger falls are in (as seen from the road). The road is in great shape, too. The Slottery also had significant ice in the chimney.
was down in the cooke city vicinity over thanksgiving weekend. the snowpack is very suspect!!!!!!!!!!
-hydromonster is quite thin but there (WI 5++).
-silver falls west isn't in yet. its still running alot, accompanied by a gaping hole in the middle. -that dagger to it's right hasn't snapped and could be a great prospect.
-the three park gate climbs are in!
-barronette has tons of ice! some fat, some thin. -same w/Abiathar.
theres ice down there, but the avalanche activity was more than awakening. hopefully this cycle will pass and allow access to the more "asthetic" lines in the area.
cooke city ice? Anyone? Anyone?
