There is still auto access to the trail head for Jewel Basin. Skied the east face of Mt. Aeneas, then back up for a shot off the North Face into the Jewel. Then traverse to the notch with a ski down the trail to the car.... Not bad for November. Conditions were wind blown hard pack with 2-3 inches of fresh snow on top of a 12 - 14 inch base. Some icy conditions exist in the lower chutes. Avalanche conditions were mild but will change with the next event with all the hard pack and boiler plate that exists now... (Some wind loading has occured in higher elvations and northerly aspects) Heads up for the next storm. We are getting cold temps and clear skies. Potential for surface whore to build up.
