Hello Ice Festers, I just got the following email from Chris At Barrel; He will post here regarding the ice festival in the naext day or so: [quote]Hello Everyone-- I just wanted to touch base with you about the road conditions up Hyalite...Northern Lights did a small ice climbing demo up at Gensis 1 this weekend and experienced very dicey road conditions...experienced Hyalite drivers in 4x4 trucks getting stuck...3-4 vehicles got stuck from their convoy of 12-15 4x4 rigs--a high percentage. Two things will cause the road to become impassible: more snow and high winds. Bozeman 24 hour forecast = 4-8 inches of new snow with 20-40 mph winds and sub-zero temps. Bottom line is it doesn't look good. I am waiting until we see how much snow and wind today/tonight's weather brings. I plan on making a final decision tomorrow by noon on whether to proceed with the Festival or cancel it entirely. More info to follow shortly...thank you for your patience and understanding...
