Meeting Regarding Ice Climbing in Hyalite

Hi All, RE: SMCC meeting at Spire Rock Gym Thursday, December 21 at 7:00 pm regarding the proposed travel plan for winter recreation in Hyalite. Thank you everyone that has expressed interest in attending this meeting and to those whom can't make it but have contacted me with their questions and support. Tom Kalakay once again modified the FS doscuments, this time specifically for Thursday's meeting. To help defray our printing costs and to come prepared we ask that you print these out, read them and your bring copies. The ROD document is particularly illuminating. The essentially state outright that they will not plow to the Dam and have a "Plan B" (plowing to Langhor). Here is a quick run down of a likely agenda: 1/ Go over the proposed plan, our current understanding thereof, and outline some of the options we do and do not have. 3/ Ask for everyone's help in gathering more hard data and information about ice climbing use in Hyalite. 4/ Questions and Comments from the crowd. 5/ Get feedback on any sort of community consensus on what we should do as a group. 6/ And finally ask which of you have time or expertise to help with the cause, if any.
