With the road open there HAS to be lots of people up climbing in Hyalite. Lets hear some stories, see some pictures. Any cool pitches or otherwise rarely done routes getting ticked? My shoulder is still hooped so I need to live vicariously. It will be good to build on the positive energy we've created over the road being open. Onward, JoJo

We climbed the Dribbles on Thurday. It is in great condition.

Horsetail on Wed. was really good, palisade (right side) was wet, but enjoyably wet, might be best climbed earlier in the day...

Climbed The Thrill is Gone today. It was most excellent. There wasn't much ice in the lower portion, but the ice up top was nice!

This was on Friday. Dribbles had a thick crust on top of decent ice. RFM is in good shape, but really wet in the steep part, bring a good jacket and extra gloves... Climbed ZA on Tue with Sam Magro. First pitch just rock, Sam did the direct one, finding quite good pro. Second pitch no ice either, we climbed the mossy thing to the right. 3rd pretty thin but with a couple good screws. Last week provided one of the best weeks of climbing I've ever had in Hyalite Canyon. Between climbing Winter Dance on Tuesday, participating with the Ice Breaker on Thursday, and then seeing how psyched all the climbers where that signed up for demos and clinics, it really doesn't get much better.
