Hi All,
Frustrated by continually clicking around Snotel sites and then having to interpret the resulting table of data, I created a website to conglomerate all of the weather station data from all the fun spots around the Bozeman area and display it in as simple a format as possible.
I find it pretty handy, hope you do too.

Extremely well done! You
Extremely well done! You should consider pointing this out to the Avalanche Guys - they might just share it in the daily report.

All SW Montana weather data
Wow, that is very cool, and convenient. I added a link to it in the right hand column, above the Snotel sites links.

Thanks Jim. Glad people are finding it useful. Let me know if anybody has an suggestions or other WX sites they want to see on it. It is a bit of a house of cards right now- the Big Sky Bavaria site stopped reporting the other day and took the rest of the site down with it! That is fixed now, but I am sure there will be more (I am not a web developer!). Shoot me an email if you see that it is down. csmith [at] junkfunnel [dot] com

Winter Weather website
Hi y'all,
While sitting around waiting for ice to freeze and snow to fall, I have made a few code improvments and moved the Winter Weather website over to http://winter.junkfunnel.com. The old address will redirect, too.
Additionally, there are now twice daily updates for new snow, high winds, or extreme cold (plus hourly updates for large barometric pressure changes) available on Twitter and Facebook.

At the moment, the thresholds for posting updates are >1" snow, >25 mph winds, and temps lower than 0 deg F. Barometric pressure gets posted if it has changed more than 1 mb in an hour. These were decided fairly arbitrarily by me, but since this is for the community, I would like to hear what thresholds people would like to see here. Let me know. I don't want to clog up your Facebook feed with too much weather information- it would be terrible to miss a post about what your old high school prom date is eating for dinner or that your cousin's kid put a funny hat on the dog.
