Ouray!

hey, i'm curious if anyone is planning to go! I'm trying to get a few folks together to cruise down there from the 8th to the 13th or so. i have a subaru and don't mind driving as long as someone else comes along. reply to this message or call me at 253-678-3756. PMs might not get to me in time. i get along with everyone and have a comfy enough car. room for 3 other than me as long as we pack light. peace! -brett

FYI, I was in Colorado over thanksgiving visiting family and spent 2 days looking for ice. There was none climbable to be found on either side of Wolf Creek Pass (chain stn. or west side) or after a 3 mile hike into in the nearby Weminuche wilderness (4 mile falls) outside of Pagosa Springs. Zero on the climb outside Helper ,UT ("the dirtcicle") but getting close. Things were very warm and deteriorating quickly, I'd check the conditions first before roadtripping. Treasure Falls on Wolf Creek Pass is pretty high in elev. and it was completely wide open and flowing. Ditto on Zapata falls near Alamosa. Very Cool climb though. I don't think that the park in Ouray opens until the 16th or 18th or something. JC
