Hyalite Archives

Took a trip into Hyalite today and found grim conditions indeed. GI, and GII were transparent. Hang Over was barely visible. The amphitheater area was a wet seep. Most of what has formed earlier on Cleos is either down or delaminating from the rock. The However, Twin Falls seems to be filling in quite well. The ice was hard and we left with dry ropes. Desert Dance is also in sweet condition.

Anybody been up to "Bobo Like" since Sunday? Thinking of going up tomorrow. Watched a party climb a solid first pitch, and a fairly brittle second on Saturday. Just wondering if conditions have gotten better or worse? CK

Has anyone been back to The Sphinx? I would imagine the snowpack has stablized considerably (call the avalanche center). And with all the warm-weather grimness going on in Hyalite I'm certain ice on the Sphinx is only getting better and better. JoJo
