Climbed Falls Between yesterday for the first time. The ice is there, but very hollow with water running behind the shell esp near the top where it kicks back and there are a few smaller steps. The right hand WI4 variation is not formed yet. The far left was not solid ice, a lot of wet snow.
The E Rosebud has received more snow than I recall seeing the few times I was out there last year. This made the approach was a bit longer with having to break trail and post-holing thigh to hip deep (but I am 5'2") esp where the snow was drifted. There is a crust with probably 2-5 or so inches of fresh snow on top.
We scoped out Hellroaring from the road and it appears to be in on the right side but not on the left.
Hopefully things will form up in better shape in the upcoming weeks. Either way, it's always a good fortune just to be there!
