Thing in between - in but not the best. Mule Palace - mostly all dry tooling until the upper curtain Graineater - fat on top, thin/none on the bottom... bring rock gear for sure. Weedeater - looks really good. recommended by some dudes i saw who just climbed it. daggers - not much goin on. the road is icy and the ruts were deep enough to cause my subie to bottom out a few times. it's muddy down below. hope that helps anyone lookin to head out there. -brett

Swan Slabs / Bear Creek

Submitted by mikem on Tue, 02/05/2008 - 15:51
I climbed Swan Slabs on sat. Feb 2 and Bear Creek on sun. Feb 3. Both climbs were in and good. Blodgett has alot of snow right now and the approach was pretty tough but not too bad. Blodgett Falls looked to be in excellent condition as well. We saw a moose at the base of the slabs while we were climbing. It actually came up to our gear even though we were being pretty loud on the climb. The first pitch at Bear Creek was melting fast on sun. and it might not last the warm weather this week. Have fun climbing.

went to finley today for a quick outing on Thing in Between and Mule Palace. the ice was not good on a majority of the flow, especially over mule palace and the left side of the thing. Graineater was not in on the bottom, thin ice and mixed. Fox's Corner is very thin. the daggers are not in. everything was dripping ALOT--more like pouring really. it needs to get a lot colder before it'll be good to go out there. anyone wanna go skiing? -bk. ps: sorry no pics! camera's broke. :(

Dyanamo Flow is in

Submitted by infinitymountain on Thu, 01/10/2008 - 11:27
Scott and I climbed Dynamo Flow Jan 9 . Ice conditions were perfect. Ice was formed all the way to the ground. Bring skis or snow shoes at the least. The 400 road is completely snowed in so add at least a mile to the approach. The ski in took us approximately 2 hours. Sorry no pics didn't bring my camera.

Good Day at Mission

Submitted by jsemm on Sun, 12/23/2007 - 10:31
Four of us were up at Mission Saturday, Dec 22. We spent all day on the main wall. Whisper Ice area was in with bits of pieces but not the WI5 column in the middle. Lots of ice on the main wall and all the traditional routes are available. The bridge is solid. It looked like the Hourglass was in with a bit of a rocky start. The approach was easy despite quite a bit of new downfall on the trail.
